Evolution Apartments

Lovely 1 bedroom apartment with pretty city /river view. 3 balconies (1 large off lounge & 2 off bedroom). Air conditioner was on when we arrived which was very welcome on a hot day. Comfortable & convenient with a great lap pool (with late closing time), spa & relaxation deck (request extra towels from Reception). Also a rooftop view/entertaining area. Value for money. Will stay again when next in Brisbane.

My Stay, Fri. 5th - 12th Jan. 2024 A generally good stay & thank you to the friendly staff. (Amy) Good clean room & balcony spacious. Bedroom very nice & no problem sleeping. Good air conditioning when needed. The view was minimal but thats ok. Bathroom clean however the shower is placed in the bath & getting in & out was an issue regarding shower screen & stepping out from shower/bath is a lengthy drop. See pics. Only 2 lifts/elevators which one was mostly used by workers going from the top floor renovations. Again thank you for a good stay.

Terrible sound proofing. Really noisy rooms. Got allocated to a room near the lift. The noise from the lift is so loud and constant. Noise from rooms next door can be heard in the bedroom. Loud water flow noise from pipes.. Unable to sleep properly three nights there. No much service. Only check in and check out. Room is spacious with all the basic amenities. There is a pool, gym and BBQ area. On the top floor, there is a kitchen and common space. One room apartment has a kitchen and laundry. Most things look a bit dated. Dirty and dusty room. The room I stayed in had a used condom on the close rack. Disgusting. Only got booked here through work agency. Definitely will avoid here next time. Don't think it's worth paying the full price here.

We were nervous about checking in after some of the recent reviews from previous guests. We needn't of worried. Check in was fast and efficient and the desk clerk was super friendly and informative. Our room was ready upon our arrival - the room was clean and well supplied with tea and coffee, and bathroom goodies. There was a small amount of mould in the bathroom ceiling - but having worked in Hospo before - and knowing how poorly ventilated the bathrooms are - I was okay with that. The pool was warm and clean and the spa was toasty as the evening got cooler. Great location to Brisbane CBD and the CityCat as well as other public transport. The windows are double glazed and a small amount of traffic noise still penetrates - but if you can't do noise wear earplugs - didn't bother us one bit. I use a sleep mask for which I was grateful for as the gap in the blinds allows a bit of light in, didn't bother hubby at all. We enjoyed our stay at Evolution Apartments and plan on booking again next year!
